Discussion questions:
• After learning about upcycling, did you realize you and your family already do some of these things? What were they? Make a list of ways your family upcycles things. Make another list for ways your family could upcycle things.
• Do you see any foreseeable challenges with upcycling your clothes?
How would you be able to encourage your parents to use second-hand clothing?
• After hearing multiple solutions, what is one goal you want to achieve this year with your clothes? Do you want to go thrifting? Or encourage your parents to thrift? Or buy less clothes? Or wear your clothes more often?
Homework:
• Pick an item at your home and help your parents find a way to upcycle it.
